The winners are considered by MarketingSherpa to be the “cream of the crop” from among a host of entries scrutinized by its staff.

The VIBE Verses Campaign
The VIBE Media Group—a leading brand in urban music and culture—leveraged UNBOUND Technologies’ proprietary social mapping and analysis technology  to ignite VIBE Verses, a rap battle contest that invited independent rap and hip hop artists to record their lyrics and post them on VIBE Verses.com, where fans could then vote for them.

UNBOUND pinpointed the most influential, or socially connected, artists in its social graph of more than 70 million consumers and 5 million independent music artists, engaged them, and provided them with a widget that allowed them to share their lyrics with fans.

Within four weeks, VIBE Verses went viral, with the number of video streams viewed exploding from 10,000 to more than 1.2 million a month. The contest also resulted in 60,000 newly registered VIBE community members, 375,000 unique visitors to the site, 1.9 million widget views, and 5 million monetized ad impressions—delivering an 800 percent return on investment to the VIBE Media Group.
